- As we reported last year, the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) continues to be very active in investigating and prosecuting alleged international antitrust violations. There have been continued investigations and proceedings in coordination with other jurisdictions for antitrust violations. These coordinated investigations pose risks to companies operating in international and global markets.
- We predict that these efforts will continue to intensify, as will the phenomenon of follow-on private or class action litigation in the US and associated internal investigations based on the same allegations as the regulators are investigating.
